Time to replace my guitar cables. I have used Monsters for like 10+ years. What's new and cool? I don't want Evidence Audio or any super-boutique stuff, but just some really good quality/sounding cables.

I was considering the Planet Waves American Stage series. What else is cool?

I don't like Monsters....I prefer LiveWires actually. I did a sound test through my amps, and although I didn't try the highest end monster, the middle and lower series sounded dull compared to LiveWires to me. I was actually shocked at the difference.

Bullet cables have made me happier than a pig in poop. The look cool, sound amazing and are built really really well.

I have tried most of the stuff out there and always come back to my Planet Waves cables. Consistent, reliable and sound amazing.

Planet Waves or Mogami Gold get my vote. Never liked Monsters myself. Careful switching, my bass player used monsters for a few yours and had to replace his input jack cause it stretched it out.

planet waves give you the best bang for your buck - fairly inexpensive, durable, very little to no tone degradation, lifetime warranty. i'd steer clear of their patch cables though, as they tend to be a bit bulky (and sometimes don't fit all the way in random pedal 1/4" inputs). but their instrument cables are top quality. i don't get the hooplah over incredibly expensive cables. there's really no discernible difference in tone/sound to most ears.

I've used George L's for so long now I can't even remember what I used to use???

Probably whatever was laying around.

Love the George L's.

Another vote for the Plant Waves American Stage cable. I have a 15 footer and noticed more definition and fuller sound than all my other cables including a $125 10 foot Monster Cable.

There may be better cables out there but I believe these are a great bang for your buck cable.

For an easily obtainable cable, Planetwaves is the way to go and is really good. I recently moved to Mogami 2425 for gigging and also have EA's but the Planet Waves will see you good

i use mogami but thinking about shopping around, not because they sound bad or had any problems, but they get these odd waves which don't like to roll up nicely and sometimes need to be untangled. this is normal for the rubbery sort of cables and i don't know if there are certain cable coatings that collapse and roll up nicely without tangles, maybe those woven cloth-like cables or something. i don't know, i'm open to suggestions. i don't want to spend anymore than what mogami costs (in in store, i don't make my own cables)

I like the Lava Blue Demon. It's the only cable I've tried that actually sounds different then all the others. It added some lower mids when compared to Mogami Gold, DiMarzio, and live wire cables.

The Mogami, Dimarzio, and live wires all sounded identical to me...
