Recommend me some speakers

I plan on ordering a 2x12 at the end of the week or early next week and I'm trying to decide what kind of speakers to have it loaded with. Currently my only cab is an Uberkab and I'm basically just looking for something that's going to sound good mostly with the Herbert and the HT-5 for when I don't feel like lugging the Herbert. Was kind of thinking I probably can't go too wrong with V30's but I've done little to none as far as different speaker exploration and was curious if anyone else might have a solid suggestion. Thanks in advance!

These. They both sound awesome with the herbert. I have my 2x12 loaded with C90s (essentially CL80s) and a 412 with K100s.

evm12 l & 12 bl are my 2 favorite speakers with Herbert. if you haven't heard your Herbert through these, then you should.

If you like V30s (like I do) the K100s will KILL in that 212. It's a very similar tonal response, but more balls and beef on the low end, and a little less upper mid spike.

They sound enormous in my little dinky 112. Just huge.

Awesome. Thanks for all the suggestions guys I guess I should have mentioned that I'm ordering through Emperor cabs and therefore I believe my options might be limited to Jensens, Eminence and Celestions. So now I think I'm going to give the K100's a shot. The evm12L's sound sweet as well but might have to consider trying those at a later date since they'd more than likely have to be purchased separately. They quoted me $450 (with Jensens) + another $125 if I wanted Celestions, I suppose I could see how much unloaded would run me.

I prefer the Eminence MS12's over the EVM 12L. A tiny bit less high end when played loudly

Emi Delta Pro 12A is pretty sweet too as an EVM substitute.

You may want to keep the speaker wattage relatively low if you want to use the cab with the HT-5. I don't think a cab with two 100 watt speakers would be ideal for a 5 watt head.

EVM12L's handle 200 watts a piece, yet they have comparable sensitivity ratings to LOUD celestions.

EVM12L 1W/1M = 100dB
Celestion V30 1W/1M = 100dB

I don't know about the technical part, but I can say that 5wt valve jr sounded better with EVM12L than it did with v30.

Jensen Mods are awesome speakers for the bux, as are the Eminence Legends

Well I got my order in with Emperor. I was told it would be about a month build time. I wanted to check out the EVM12l's but I'd have to get those myself and at $200 each would be a bit much at the moment. So I went with the Eminence Delta Pro 12A since it was mentioned they are supposed to have a similar vibe.

Then I was cruising craigslist and found a guy selling a pair of Electro Voice PA speakers that are each loaded with an EVM12l so I was able to score the pair of those for 100 bucks Definitely will be interesting to compare.
