Hi, colleagues!
Can you please recommend me an amp, I have already some high gainer and am really proud of bogners. Now I want to find something mid-gained.
It will be perfect to find a 2 channel amp with nice clean and Plexi->JCM800 second channel, but I know that it will be hard to find something like that. Also need to mention that I don't play gigs and want to use it in my home studio for recordings and practice.
So what do you think about:
1. Splawn Quickrod
2. Splawn Street Rod
3. Heritage Colonial; extremely interesting amp, but no fx loop :(
4. Budda SuperDrive 18 or 30 or 45.
5. Fortin Bones; too expensive :(
6. Bogner Shiva
7. Bogner Goldfinger 45; has reverb =)

Go affordable hand-made boutique: http://grangeramp.com/cg50.php

I played that one in his basement. I think it'll nail the tone you're looking for. I'm not sure what he can do fx loop-wise on this circuit though.

Thank you for the answers.
I try to find a used amp and think that it will be too hard to find used Granger.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't suggest looking for a used one. But at $1550 is lower than a lot of those you mentioned even if used. That's one of the reasons I went with Granger for my main amp. The risk is that if you don't like it, you won't get as much of the money back out of it.

small box combo if you can find one used they are a great deal.

Late 80s JCM 2205/10. 2 channel JCM. 87-90 fixed the previous channel bleed issues.

Have you looked at metro amps? The metroplex would satisfy the the mid gain sounds in spades!!!

led zepplin one supro 24. smaller amps with el84s sound great. check on ebay
