And yes my cabinet is connected. Oh, one more thing, is there a way to record off the slave and/or send and turn the volumd down on the speaker cabinet? Im getting sound from the headphones and the cab

Hes also got a mixer, (Yamaha MG124c) like I said not sure where hes getting his sound from but my rig doesnt sound like his and I got a lot of the same stuff. Im assuming hes using it cuz hes got 2 mics. Does anyone know if the rock crusher has a line out?

again, people (not just this particular person) are going to tell you you need to throw more money at your issues....i disagree....

you can get a decent enough sound recorded out of that slave out, i did it with a mesa heartbreaker combo for years.

for starters you might want to try turning down your slave out level (say to like 12:00, or half) and your input level(s) in your recording program also need to be adjusted accordingly. from there, once you clean up that sludgy, digital clipping/overload and start getting a cleaner signal recorded, you can tweak from there, and decide what you need.

remember also, when recording hi gain sounds, less gain often times = more definition and a better "ton" on tape.

Really guys, im just looking for information not backlash. Yeti's right, all im looking for is clarification and information and I wanted sound advice from real people, not a search engine. I always have the option of a different board, but hey I thought everyone here was the most knowledgable

Just mic your cab or use something else that is made to record direct out with. This is really your only option. I do not believe that you are ever going to get a decent sound trying to record out of a direct out on your recto. I've said this many times, and you don't seem to get it, so I'm bowing out. like i said, you're damned if you do, and damned if you dont these days in the interwebz.
that mentality didnt exist here before....but it does now. no wonder people are leaving this site en masse for greener pastures and better moderation. at one point, this WAS a better forum to take part in....i lurked here for years and learned a ton by reading other people's questions, no matter the skill level with gear. for that im thankful. apparently those days are over. again, im no angel, i just thought this thread got a bit shitty for no reason at someone's expense that didn't know any better...SMH. done with this one.
