Recto boost that doesn't cut bass?

I'd just keep the boost you're using and slap an eq in loop to add back the low end plus any top end you want.

I'll say it again. Timmy pedal. It has both bass and treble controls and can be had for $129 new. I use one with my triple and it rips. I can make the amp flubby or tight with it. Plus it doesn't have that dreaded mid bump TS pedals have.

I love the Timmy pedal so much that I bought another today. I have a Tim too. lol

+1 to most of the others

I use a Bad Monkey OD (like a modded TS) and then a Dano Fish n Chips 7 band EQ in the loop. Works great. $85 new. $60 used. Tight as fuck.

MXR M77 is a other tube screamer with a bass control that works with the Rectifiers.
Personally I like the H.B.E. Plank Cranker. In one of the voices the gain controls the bass and thickness. It works good with my rig. You might want to check out some Klon Klones. I like the Archer with my Tremoverb.

I just got a vfe focus and love it. Better than my rocket boost eq for this application. Does not add clipping other than boost however but thats a plus for me.

Checick one out.

How 'bout a Boss FA-1 FET Amp or a clone?

It's basically a clean boost, and an insanely loud one (+24dB or more, if I recall), but next to a Bass and Treble EQ knob, it also has a low-cut switch.
Now the fun thing is; Raise the Bass to around 2 o' clock, but do engage the Low cut switch. Tweak treble to taste.
You'll end up with a tighter signal, yet super punchy and chunky, without the woof or mud.

I know Valeton created a small version of it; the FP-10:

I'm saying this, as I've owned a Boss original and used to build a FA-1 FET Ampclone myself and love the circuit. Size & price-wise, the Valeton looks intruiging.

Right now, I usually use a modded DOD 250 (LED crunch mod, low-cut mod) for a louder, crunchier TS-like boost, or a TS9 Mini. The TS does have something special goin' on in the mids, adding some 'chewyness', whereas the DOD remains more open, yet crunchy.

If you have a DOD 250, just replace the 2 diodes with clearlense green LEDs and WHAM!, way more output, less fizz and more crunch.

Here's another option, I installed EMG Afterburners in my guitars. It's a straight 0-20db boost with no change to tone. (I've also tried the PA-2, and I much prefer the AB.)

I've got an early Rev F Rackto that I boost with a Bad Monkey (setup as a clean boost only). It's an incredible combination with plenty of bass...

I boost my Rev F with an EP Booster - sounds awesome. Not sure if it cuts bass though. If it does, it definitely doesn't bother me.

Left side (blue channel) of this pedal was the best boost I ever used on my recto. Did the tube screamer thing but without the metallic "clink" and three band eq can be dialed in add the lows back in or do the mid hump if you want.

Agree. And anyone who has this pedal might know, the switch caps for the hard/soft can break. Xotic charges $8 plus shipping for 4. LOL! I just ordered 50 for $3.75 shipped. For fuck sake, it's a little plastic switch tip. The switches don't cost that much. :D
