A buddy of mine made a CD for with some White Lion and I have heard them for a long time and now remember why I liked them so much!! Vito was such an amazing guitar player, his quick little runs and awesome solo's!!!! They might be a little foo foo for some of you but I'm totally digging the hell out of them all over again!!

I just heard Little Fighter on my ipod about an hour ago, love Bratta's fills.

His tone on that 1st album is killer - I never dug his ADA tones, but his Marshall/Tubescreamer tone was killer!

Love their version of Radar Love from Mane Attraction, and about all of the Pride disc.

I was just listening to Mane Attraction the other day. I copied the Vito Bratta rig back in the day. (ADA, BBE, Carvin FET400, Quadraverb)

I was putting old VHS tapes to DVD and found a super early white lion concert that aired on MTV. Vitto was smoking on it

I love the solo in Wait, I recall when that first came out that was the solo everyone wanted to play. They rock.

Vito was a smoother, more tasteful version of EVH. Love his work. :2thumbsup:

You know where I'm coming from. Where Eddie was more about guitar gymnastics, Vito was more about melody using Eddie's tricks along the way. :2thumbsup:
I guess "more tasteful" is where my outrage stems from... ;)

To me Eddie wrote far better music, at least until the effects of cocaine and alcohol removed his talent around '85 or so...

I'll partially agree with you. But not 100% :D You are correct though. Out of all the 80's guitar slingers, I think he was by far the closest to copping the EVH feel. Some of those off-the-cuff swing groove songs Bratta did (similar to EVH's I'm the One) had great feel, and I liked how he'd solo without rhythm guitar. He definitely had a loose feel

They were so much better when they were singing about girls and not their pinko politics.

Vito was awesome. EVH was awesome. End of story. All of the "he is better than him" bullshit is stupid. They don't make guitar players like them anymore, just be thankful that we got to witness they're awesomeness....
