Relapse Records Artists.

Ever since i ordered a couple Unearth vinyls from Relapse, i have been getting their music guide every month.
Are there any decent bands that I should check out?
I don't think i know of any band on that label except for Dellinger Escape.

I will say, there are some interesting band names out there

Misery Index*** (metalcore...no singing tho)

Misery Index is NOT metalcore. They are an excellent death / grind band though. They are one of my favorite live acts.

okay, discordia is ALOT heavier than their last album...juss had a listen. i stand corrected. excellent death metal.

Have you seen them live j666? They're fucking awesome live. They play everything on the albums even faster live.

IMO they're the only well known heavy music label that doesn't eat up the sellout shit and largely just signs bands that are actually original. If it's on Relapse, even if you don't like it, you can bet it's at least set apart from other stuff in some way.

They've had DEP, Coalesce, Converge, Uphill Battle, Burst, Burnt By The Sun, Mastodon...it goes on and on. They've now signed Genghis Tron and Baroness. Genghis Tron, particularly, are about the most original newer and consistently good heavy/extreme band I know of. That's just stuff I personally like. They've got an ass load of good bands.

i've wanted to for a long time but they weren't playing in san diego...now i'm in no man's land...no one comes out here...i gotta go to salt lake for shows and i fukken HATE salt lake city! total bummer...i'll catch 'em soon, i hope.
