As some whose worked in AI tech for decades; AI learns from information it is given; the old adage, "garbage in, garbage out". AI is usually a reflection of the humans that are providing the AI with data, making the corrections and adjustments, etc. at least in supervised learning.
It's not much different from a child; e.g., hitler youth were taught by adults and had no other information; Mao's red guards were indoctrinated even though they had other information.
unsupervised learning for AI allows the AI to find the patterns and knowledge/facts in data on it's own; what we often see is if this information isn't curated, filtered, cleansed, verified, the results will be a reflection of human discourse...for example the Microsoft bot that used unfiltered data from the internet became racist:
