I keep hearing about how well the Aldrich splits, but what about the Duncan Custom Custom or Custom 5?

We can probably talk about this pickup is better than that one, this one sounds good in this guitar but not that one, this pickup sounds better for this style of music than that one......and so on, and I'm sure in many cases a valid point can be made. With that said, the JB has stood the test of time. The only other pickups that I would like to have tried in my strats are the BK Black Dog and the Suhr Aldrich, but I went with the JB still holds its own pretty well.thanks for the advice, I guess if I can't find a better choice, I'll throw a JB in it. My singer has one in his schecter and it sounds too generic. Maybe it's because its mahogany, idk.
I've not tried the Angel Dust, but have an Afwayu set in my Hamer, and a Detroiter set in my LP and really like both! Afwayu's are hotter and have a lot of low end. They are great for a modern metal tone!metalmaniac93":lh5o43q1 said:Motor City Pickups (MCP) Angel Dust (A5 or A2) rocks!!!!![]()

Mine is a mid 2000's model HSS with maple neck. I prefer the maple necks. Everything is stock except the bridge pickup. I believe the body is ash as the deluxe models are alder.sixstringking713":wjcapziu said:fender126":wjcapziu said:sixstringking713":wjcapziu said:fender126":wjcapziu said:I have JB's in both my MIA and MIM HSS strats and think they sound great and cover a wide tonal range. mine is a 2003 and correct me if I'm wrong, I'm pretty sure only the strats with the finish "sienna sunburst" used ash for the body..?
