Ok, so the channel 2 LED of my Herbert has died. Just got the replacement LED from Peter and I was trying to do this myself. According to a few posts here this should be a breeze but I'm scratching my head. Managed to get the amp out of its head shell. Then turned it upside down to locate the LED. It is housed in a square piece of plastic that won't move. Also the location of the channel 2 LED is kind of awkward, difficult to access. Any tips from anybody that has done this before? Maybe master Peter himself perhaps? Thanks in advance for the help!

You have to cut the plastic piece off.
I did it that way.

Thanks for the tip Bato. Did you have to take the front panel off? Not even sure that's possibe but the channel 2 LED is in a really awkward spot that I can't really reach, especially if I need to solder in the new LED.

Tried it again today but didn't get very far. Manage to snip off the bad LED and the black housing but I won't even try to resolder a new one. The solder points and the LED pins are tiny, it's like operating on an ant. And you need a third hand to do the soldering and keep the LED in place. Not even sure how after all that you get the light back in the hole in the panel. My hat is off to anybody that managed to do this. Hope I can find a technician who can do this for me.
