More Marsha love on the BE.....(more Brown Eye love would actually sound too gay)

Pure tone from the BE input with the Gain about 7, Presence 8, Bass 6, Mids 5, Treb 8. 68 Les Paul Custom. Running through an early 71 Marshall cab with 4 x Pre Rola Greenbacks. Just don't get any better than this. Replaced the ARS pre's with Mullards too.

I believe this bitch just officially moved up to my favorite amp. On top of all that, I got a Naked gonna be here soon.

Got the Zoom recorder out of the box too after several months and going to see if I can get some half decent clips. I don't feel like arsing around with the Digi.

Got a couple of more amps heading out the door, including the Cameron :poke: .

I agree!!!!!
Steve, have you tried the Marsha through a V30 4X12? Reason I ask is another dude on here really liked the setup so I took out the 75's in my Uberkab so it's all V30's and DAMN MAN!
It kicks all kinds of ass. More present and in your face with beefy mids. With the amp
the usual V30 spike is tamed to sound just right. F'kn awesome dude!
It also still has the killa' Marsha tone to the bone and feel just more present and detailed.
:rawk: :rawk: :rawk:

God, I want a Friedman amp so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, I haven't yet. I usually play it with the Scumbacks but I had the head out and messing with preamp tubes and the nearest place to set it was on that old Marshall cab with the Greenies. So, I just plugged it in and left it there. I may still have some V30's in a Mesa cab here to try it with.

New 68 VOS Custom Shop Lester, a cable and a Friedman Marsha with the BE input cranked through the early 70's cab with original Greenies. Folks, it just don't get any better than this....

Hi Steve

I got a PT-100, waiting for a CCV and you will make me buy a Marsha too! :gethim:
I hate you!

 :2thumbsup:

Hey just curious, how easy is it to put new speakers in a cab? I have a Marshall 4x12 (JCM 900 type) and don't know what speakers are in it but got the cab pretty cheap used ($500) so I don't imagine they are anything special. I thought about throwing in some different ones in the future.

Easy dude.....

Tools: Cordless screwdriver, soldering iron, solder. ratchet and a socket for the nuts....and an hour or two, depending on how meticulous you are on soldering. A digital multimeter is always handy to check the total impedance after installation, just to make sure you wired it all back properly an the impedance is close to what it should be.
