That's a great story, and very cool of Tommy - congrats!

This is the best thread. God bless you and keep jamming.

Thanks all! I'm having trouble answering people via quotes on my iPhone.

On what I used: 60s bandmaster and artisan 100 in stereo via greenbacks. Boss compressor and hardwire stereo fx (supernatural, delay and rotary).

That is awesome !!
What a huge blessing for you !!
I hope you write many cool songs on that guitar !!

It's great timing because I am starting a new album soon. To have 50's pickup, pots and wiring will be a no brainer for the clean stuff. It also dirts up nice, but only for mild 70's fuzz. If you throw anything too crazy at it, it gets you into White Stripes territory. It really likes my modded RAT.

Amazing!!!!

So, did Tommy just show up with the guitar, or did you know he was bringing it to you?

He called and said he's driving from Texas to see his niece who lives a few hours from me in Boca. He also had some business on the east coast of Florida. He left a cryptic message on my answer phone about something of my dads that he'd think I'd like...So I called him back and He broke the news that it was his old electric. The next day he was at my house :-)

I was having a stressful time before he called. I was in the process of spending $2000 replacing An AC Coil At the house. So it was chaos, my house was 90 degrees, car trouble and the daily grind. As the AC guy was leaving my house, he was pulling in. So I went from down in the dumps to king of the world. Haha. Look at how dishevilled I look in a pic I took of the visit:

One of my dads peers visits and I look like a drowned rat. We had a great chat. He told me of the letters my dad wrote him when I was born. He actually kept them. He's forwarding me a lot of other correspondence.
