What’s the going rate on a Rev G Dual Rectifier these days?

I came across a slightly beat up, early small logo example that seems cheap. I’ve never been a huge fan of Rectifers but have only tried them briefly at friend’s houses or in a store. Thinking of picking this one up and seeing how I like it at home with my own cab, pedals, etc.

Thanks. Sounds like I am pretty safe if I end up not liking this thing. 😆

Let me (us) know if you do get it. There are some trick and mods to make it sound its best.
I did end up buying it! I’ve only fooled around with it a little bit so far. Straight in this one is a little better than other Rectos I’ve tried but it sounds killer with a boost in front. The only thing off the bat that I might look into is the parallel to serial loop mod so I can run a gate in the loop.

Nice score. If you decide to mod the loop, these are correct instructions that involve replacing the return jack with a switching one:

OFFICIAL MESA BOOGIE LOOP MOD

Parts needed: 1 pc. #12A or 112A Switchcraft ¼ inch jack.

1. Remove effects “Return” jack and the orange 2-inch wire connecting it to the “Blend” POT.

2. Install the 12A or 112A jack in the “Return” position, very securely with a lock-washer inside as it was previously.

3. Move red wire from “Blend” POT to tip connection of the new “Return” jack.

4. Add jumper wire from “Send” jack at the Brown wire (tip connection) to switched contact connection of the new “Return” jack.

5. Make sure “normalling” contact on new “Return” jack works well when plug is removed.

The Recto loop also shaves off a good amount of low end in the return stage. There's a mod to make it a bit more transparent—Mike B. did it to a couple of my amps:

Replace 2.2uf capacitor connected to pin 3 of tube V4a (effects loop recovery stage) with 15uf for full low end response w/ loop on.

Observe polarity with "+" end connected to pin 3.

I did the second mod to mine, but left the loop parallel. I have considered modding it to serial.

Congrats Mad Axe

What I'm doing right now is Loop On Org & Red / send and receive level at noon / loop patched / Red channel / silicone / bold / no boost

I had my return jack replaced as well for this reason. Didn't know about the loop shaving low end. Is that on serial or parallel? I have plenty of low end so maybe I don't need to worry about this one.

Congrats! I hate what the loop does to those amps and have always hard bypassed them.
