I've had really good luck selling on Reverb. The last probably 6 out of 8 items I've sold have been on Reverb. There are lowballers, but I don't even respond to them. Let them wonder for 24 hours until their offer expires whether or not I'm going to accept. Fuck 'em.
I listed a guitar for $1800 and some jamoke offers me $1000. It's like really dude?
That's flat out insulting. He would not get a response from me. Although I did once tell a lowballer that I'd burn it before selling for his offer.

My favorite thing to do to severe low ballers is to tell them, "Sure I can do it for that price, call me at <phone number>."

And I always give a phone number to their nearest in-patient psychiatric facility. I never received follow up messages after that.

EDIT: On topic though, I've had mostly good experiences with Reverb, overall better than eBay or Craigslist, would recommend for sure. And their customer service is excellent.

I had a guy lowball me , saying he couldn't do any better. I declined and wished him well. He sent me a message today and told me he got a slightly newer version for $200 more than "the best he could do" for mine. My taint, dude. Lick it.
that was me a 2014 splawn quickrod for 1100.00 based on your raving about how 1000.00 was a gift for a 2005 lol

That's awesome. haha I like both you guys.

Depends how you look at it. Cuz the 2014 and 2005 are different. and sound different. Some will be happy with one, while others not. But this whole generalization of the QR should kinda halt. Not saying one is better...

Just saying I've owned 3 QR's and a comp...

A newer 2014 for $1100 is a killer deal, and a 3 pre for $1k is a fair deal for sure. Depends what you want. Hell, there is a 2005 for $799 on there now...pre gear QR. That to me is great deal.

Watchers is what pisses me off. 15 watchers, no bites.
I put "Don't watch, buy" in my ads now. LOL
Takes FOREVER to sell shit on there, but eventually it does sell. I'm as impatient as they come.
I will say this. Their built in ship calculator and shipping printing thing is cheaper than anything else I've come across.
USPS wanted like $105 to ship an amp head. Through Reverb it was $83 with USPS.

Or you get the guy who says, well I saw it sell on eBay for this amount. I don't give a fuck. There's always gonna be an auction out there that nobody happen to bid on. It doesn't mean I'm gonna give mine away too.

First off I wasn't raving. You low balled me, I countered. You low balled me again (20 bucks? Seriously?), I declined. Simple as that. My price is totally fair. I'm not in dire need if Crack money. No rush.

just going by what ive sold quickrods for in the past as it was lowballing to you not me

We'll agree to disagree on that. In any even, I wasn't upset by your offer in any way. But I did think messaging me about your "deal of the century" was appropriate. Felt to me like you were rubbing it in.

no I knew you from here and thought being a splawn owner that youd think id got a cool deal bro.. No harm intended..

Nicely done. One time I countered a lowballer one dollar less than my asking price. He lowballed again, I countered one more dollar less. He went away.

I've had less time wasters and peanut gallery morons on Reverb than here. Just setup auto decline for lowballs...

Yes, you end paying about 6%. Still better than Ebay but there's less traffic on reverb and prepare for low ball offers that border on insulting.

You will get low ball offers everywhere. Whenever I looked on Reverb, the prices were 10-20% higher than here or Ebay. I am sure there are exceptions but many people seem to be high when they price their gear over there. This forum usually has the best prices and it is free.
