I don't see the issue....sold a bunch of stuff, never had a problem transaction. Reverb releases funds as soon as I add tracking and they're deposited the next business day....y'all must be some new sellers??

A lot of you are forgetting the fact that you'd be paying 10% fees on guitars & amps on ebay still if it weren't for Reverb!! They only reduced it to 3.5% to be competitive. :gethim:

Everyone hates paypal until they can't use it anymore.....go figure.

I don't hate paypal or Reverb or Ebay...it's just they flipped the script on me without telling me...maybe they did and I ignored it?..lol!

I have no problem with PP..I use it all the time to buy. Just not to sell..6 months to return something??? GTFO.

I only use the forum to sell. Much less worry that way.

I can't even remember the last time I sold thru eBay.

It's basically designed to fuck the seller

I closed my acct like someone stated above, fuck that and fuck them?
That's it....unfortunately they filled a gap in the market and they destroyed themselves with these stupid new policies. I won't sell there any more.

I believe this only applies to first-time sellers?

They no longer pay out in PayPal anymore.

You could be right regarding first time SELLERS.

OP, is this your first sale?

I used to sell a lot on eBay, never sold on Reverb. I find it easier to sell on forums. Price it right and it’ll sell. Plus likely sell to someone I’m familiar with through postIhg over the years. I’d rather sell for a little less to a known person than get a little more from some random person on reverb/eBay. Less chance for issues IMO

I just wrapped up selling $20,000 of gear, most of it was on Reverb. I had to wait the first time, after that it was smooth sailing. After losing my job last October I have been earning a living selling online. Everything I sell is honestly described, lot’s of pictures, and I am attentive to customer communication. The few times I did run into a bad buyer Ebay backed me up. Like everything in life, online sales is a game with its own set of rules. Learn the rules and play above board and you will be fine.

When I sell expensive items (over $500), I take photos of any serial numbers and any unique markings that can identify the item as the one I sold. I let the buyer know that by uploading some of them in ebay’s or Reverb’s message system, that goes a long way to preventing switch out scams. I also insure everything I ship and require signatures on anything over $100 going to an apartment as well as anything over $500 going anywhere.

USPS has lost and damaged 3 of my items this past year and paid out no questions asked.

I have better luck on Reverb than here, for sure. I might get lucky here on some items, but the lowballers are rampant here too, or you have to give things away.

Would be my 31st sale

Maybe there are different rules for US and EU. I sold 2 items on Reverb this weekend. They send me money with PP. But Paypal holds my money even i put Tracking numbers. I see ‘You funds will released within 1 day after delivery’ in the details of transactions.

I just added tracking yesterday for 2 sales and they cleared later in the evening

Well..I got paid in what they call "Reverb Bucks" that I had to transfer to my bank account and wait 1-3 days for it to get there? I'm just not sure what they are doing..Are they replacing Paypal with their own vault for everyone's money and like paypal have to transfer it to your bank ??...I think I answered my own question by what I just did by transferring my "Reverb Bucks" to my bank..
