So I wanted to post about this here to see if anyone here has seen this one.

I purchased a midas m32r mixer yesterday on reverb from a seller in Japan. Less than 24 hours later (today) I get an email from PayPal asking if I received the item and a tracking number that says the package was left at my door at 5:11pm today.

No package was delivered, and the weight on the package was listed as 2lbs which is totally wrong.

I contacted reverb and they said to open a case with PayPal. So I opened a case and the seller Immediately responded with the bogus tracking number which says it was delivered.

Now what ?

Anyone see this before ?

Yes. They buy something from staples for almost nothing, like a pack of copy paper and ship it to a business address in your local. They use that tracking number because it’s the same zip code. You just have to challenge them that tracking wasnt to your address.

You may have to do some leg work to have the shipper confirm the tracking wasn’t your address

I'll keep you posted, I opened a claim on paypal and requested a refund on reverb , and contacted reverb to notify them of what's going on.

This will prob be the last transaction I do online and reverb if so. What a mess
