That was great and lots of others to back up the Gemini brutality.

How is it for anything other than low chugging? I have been looking for vids, found some, not much.

Low to medium gain pretty thick? Sometimes ultra high gain amps seem thin at lower gain settings.

I'm in the market for a new amp and was looking at the Gemini but couldn't find many clips of anything over than brutality either.

I'd love to hear it do other types of music even if it is still a little rough on the old pocket book.

Look for the NAMM vids. There are about 5 mins of cleans and light gain. I talked with Kyle yesterday and mentioned the same thing. Maybe someone will put something out. The NAMM vids were clear and had some walk thru of a few controls.

I'm expecting mine to ship by the end of the month. For clean comparisons I will be comparing it to a Bogner New Yorker and Dr. Z Maz 38. Two really good amps for clean and edge of breakup. It did sound close in the vid. If not, I will flip it since it is a superb metal amp.

Hey every one, thanks for the kind words, as well as input.

I had seen this one and it sounds pretty good but it's hard to focus with a bunch of people talking.

It blows my mind how many smaller builders want to sell amps but don't put out good quality video clips of their products.

Price for a Gemini?

If I remember correctly it's $3k for the 100 watt and a bit less for the 50 watt.

There are some good clips, and I'm sure there will be more to follow. Builders pay allot of money out pocket to send amps out through the mail into the hands of others who will make audio/demo/clips of the amp, of various styles of music. All that takes time, unlike the larger companies that have a ton of financial backing, and several personal to handle different duties. We are talking about a small company that is hand making their products, and not out sourcing. Thats a huge workload when one contemplates all the duties involved with running a one man operation of high quality products.

I don't believe that is completely accurate. A simple email to Rhodes will clarify the amount. I do believe he is running a special deal on the first 10 Gemini that are ordered.

Cheers,

Jo

Question:
What sounds different about this amp compared to Bogner Uberschall, VHT Ultra, Diezel Herbert, Splawn Nitro, ENGL Powerball, etc... ?

I did send him an email and he sent me a pricing list. Including the foot switch I'm pretty sure those prices are correct. I didn't mention I'm an RT member so I don't know anything about a discount.

There are some decent clips and I'm not trying to knock anyone. I'm just saying that if someone wants me to pay $3-4k+ for an amp they should have a good walk through clip. Most of these builders are great guitar players as well, so I don't see setting up a camera in the shop and walking through the amp like FJA does as being a huge overhead.

So I bought a Gemini ...it's on its way. We will see what it's all about. Can't wait. !
