That is cool that those guys can play some shred and pull of lead singing duties for their band but they are nowhere near Kotzen's talent for singing or playing guitar.

Ummm...ok so those other guys mentioned have some serious chops and good timing, but I think to compare them to Kotzen is almost comical. As a guitar player he can play circles around these guys.

Also, Im not denying the amount of SKILL and practice it takes to do what they do, but cookie monster vocals dont require as much raw talent as the range, dynamics, and finesse that Kotzen has in his singing voice.

These guys do one thing extremely well. Kotzen can play and sing almost anything and make it look easy.

i must be missing something cause this guy comes off as kinda meh to me? i got a bunch of old guitar worlds and i saw him in one and was wondering who he was and lately it seems like a daily ritchie kotzen love thread so i been checking him out and the guys solid but i dont find anything too spectacular

Uhh, if you know any other "meh" guitarists that can play and sing at the same level as Kotzen I am all ears.

Seriously man, in addition to being TOTALLY different styles, making for a nonsensical comparison, all 3 of those guys are so interchangeable and generic, they're pretty much all the walking definition of "MEH" to me, but whatever floats yer boat I suppose.
