First of all, big thanks to Brad King for generously offering the tickets yesterday. Man, what an inspiring night.
Richie is just a badass. Fantastic singing voice, phenomenal playing and tone. So groovy and in the pocket. Sounding like he's really getting more and more out of his finger picking technique now.
So cool to be able to see him in such an intimate venue, sitting literally 10 feet from the band!
He played his signature Tele the whole night thru. Kinda funny, 1/3 of the way thru the set, he realized his 1974x wasn't on and joked about it.

Seen in the crowd... ADRIAN F'in SMITH!!!
I heard Billy Sheehan showed up for his second set (which you needed a separate ticket for)

Here's some rig shots.
He also had a Crybaby in addition to the pedalboard. Pretty cool pedal I've never seen- the Celestial Effects Gemini. It's a Vibrato, Trem, and Reverb in one. I can't tell what the taped-up pedal is, maybe his signature Zoom? Although when he engaged it, it sounded like a boost.

Great pics! Was he playing thru all three of those amps? How loud was the rig onstage?

At least two of them (the stack plus one or both of the combos). I know he only switched one of them on as I said earlier.

Volume was just right for a small club. I was comfortable without earplugs and you could hear the vocal really well.

Pretty sure that's a 2061x no? He played them in the past and sounded incredible last I saw him with one. Guy could play through anything and make it sound good. Just an amazing talent. Then add the voice on top and call it a day. Dude kills.

He posted on Facebook that he was trying out a new rig. How was it?

He's been playing that 2061x Handwired Marshall rig for a few years. Sorry I missed the show but glad my tickets could be used.

I think the pedal on the right is his Sobbat overdrive.

Sounded fantastic.
Interesting, cuz I just saw a fairly recent Sweetwater thing on YouTube where he said he was using Fender. Maybe it's different when he's playing with Winery Dogs?

Very cool, but is he morphing into Bob Dylan?

The gig he said he was trying out a new rig was the previous Baked Potato gig. . .at which he played a red 100 watt marshall superlead full stack. Freakin' awesome! There are pics on facebook of the stack and a friend was there who said it was 'bright but awesome.'

He's been doing all the Winery Dog shows with Fender stuff (Vibrolux and Vibrokings).

That little handwired Marshall has been used quite a bit for his solo gigs though over the last several years.

I picked up a Ceriatone 20 Watt lead/bass which is their copy of the 2061x and that little thing is a great sounding amp. Drive it with a Mosferatu pedal and damn even I sound good. Not as good as Richie of course.

Very cool..he's such a great musician. Winery dogs have a show in Chicago in late March. Thinking about driving down to see them..
