Thank you everyone for your concern. I'm well, but had to stay in LA to take care of a personal matter. Love you all and see you very soon.
:jerkit: Did you fap?

Who cares? Grossly overweight single moms, and homosexuals - that's who.

Another useful post from one of the biggest DickHeads on the forum.

If TMZ is correct, and it probably is, good for Richie. I saw that documentary they did a few years ago and Jon came off like a pretentious, controlling, prima donna prick.
Nobody cares as much about your business as you.

Jon comes off like a hard working musician and business man. When the shit hits the fan, it's all about Jon Bon Jovi; their fan base does not care nearly as much about Sambora nor his solo albums.

Did you actually watch "When We Were Beautiful", or are you just saying that based on everything else you've seen? Regarding his business, that may be true, but no good can possibly come from losing the lead guitarist who has been with the band for 30 years. Look at "Slippery When Wet" and "New Jersey". 19 of 22 tracks were co-written by Richie. It's not like he was just the guitarist.

j/k
Never noticed that left ear being so much larger than the right. That must be the one Jon bitches into.

I'm not a big Bon Jovi fan so I'll take them with Phil X any day. This was last night.

Nailed it. Beautiful.

Hey, do you think Phil had to bring his own rig and stuff, or would he just be able to use Richie's stuff?

Last time I know that he started just using Richie's rig, but wasn't digging the JCM2000's (I believe that's what they were) so he had some Evil Robot heads shipped to him. He also had a simple pedalboard put together rather than using Richie's rack.

Phil does a great job but it's just not the same. Some parts seemed weird...the vocal isn't there either. Having said that, I'd take the gig too!

And that's the thing, I'm not a big fan and don't even know that tune so to me everything Phil did sounded fantastic. I'm also biased because I love Phil's playing.

Understandable...and he does play great! They are missing Richie's vocal in the chorus...it's a signature part of that song. It's missing on a lot of the Phil X videos I've seen. At least they're offering refunds this time to anyone that wants one.

It's funny...I was never a big Bon Jovi fan growing up. I got into them when I was asked to learn 17 of their songs in a week about 10 years ago for a fill in gig. Since then, I've come to appreciate what Richie really does for that band. Guitar-wise and vocally...and most importantly, songwriting. Go back and listen to the songs that Jon wrote alone for the 1st couple of albums. Aside from Runaway, they're pretty weak. Richie didn't really join the songwriting until the Slippery album (along with Desmond Child...can't forget him!). It was Jon who wanted to scrap Livin' On A Prayer...Richie pushed hard for it and it ended up becoming just about their biggest hit. I gained a lot of respect for the dude once I really paid attention. Of course, it become part of my job to pay attention. lol

I agree that's Richie's vocals are pretty integral to their sound. Kinda like how MA's voice was such a part of VH.
Always loved when they did Wanted live where Richie got more lines. Very soulful singer.
Not to derail the subject at hand- but did you guys ever check out his cover of Wind Cries Mary off his solo album? Great stuff!
