Somebody made bail…
What the fuck?!
I Am ChuggNorris
Best sounding Wizzer on the board so congrats for that.... hahaha
eh...tbh, I could mic this motherfucker, but it seems like such a pain in the ass to record a clip, then go listen to it, then make some adjustments to the mic position, etc ad nauseum....Chris always gets great tones, but I would have to play an MGL in person and see how it reacts miced before I would put it ahead of a hellrazor or MC2 tbh - all the clips people post of MGLs sound great though for sure.
TBH the vast majority of wizard clips available online aren't very good, which I suppose comes with the territory. Lots of money+little talent, etc. They sound absolutely massive in the room though. Especially an MC2 once it gets to maybe 3-4 on the master absolutely comes alive in a live band situation and becomes a fire breathing monster.

I will eventually do it for ya, bud.
That the amp even comes accross that loud blasting my phone mic is incredible.
As far as the MCII comparison, it is fucking eerie how close a boosted mcII comes to the MGL with no boost.
But the real trick to MGL is the clarity, and that is something that will come accross when you play it.....which by the way, you are always invited to come do.

Yeah. The MGL name doesn't get as much credit as it should. Deals can still be found. Mine isn't going a fucking place though.Makes me think of an Evil Joe in some ways. I remember passing on a MGL50 for less than 1200 before. Dumb, didnt know much about em at the time. Found out later.
Its usually the players for sure. I actually like the MC and even more the MTL. For a straight in player with a tight right hand like nunpusi the amps do lovely things. Ive noticed a LARGE connection to the guys with the most disposable income on the board, also tend to have terrible riff game so that paradox is certainly a hindrance when it comes to these situations.
Still not a fan of a Hell Racer though.![]()

1200$?! Holy shit man

The Wizard MTL kt150 is a fucking fun amp to play. I also dig the Hellraizer. But MGL is my shit.
I mean I watched a vht pitbull 50 with EQ sit for 2 months at $1200. I was too busy buying other shitLike that Henning Cherry Bomb full size head that sat at 1200 for a minute. Never seen another one lol. Full size purple nightmare for $1400. I just barely missed a chrome face 2 channel triple rectifier for $999 on guitar center. I was pissed about that one.
Theres been a few unicorns fly low if I keep talking about them though Imma have to go kill some kids at the lake for having too much pre marital sex because it gets me going.
Tbh, it is 100% the clarity. I have always done everything I could do to hush the microphonics from a preamp. To get a great high gain voicing is pretty easy, but then if it is yelling SHHHH at you, it is annoying. A gate will shut that up when you mute, but it comes through in the playing.Tell me why the MGL is your shit exactly? What would you say makes it "" vs the stable?
