I blend both heads, and yes I'm boosting the DSL with a Suhr koko boost and it sounds incredible! Great marshall mids but tighter and thickerD-Rock":14xuxsyl said:How do you run that DSL? Boosted? Blended? Is it modded? Do you recommend it? Thanks,
Thanks, I thought about that but I'm quite the simpleton so I'm not sure yet. I wanted to make sure I had plenty of space when I had the case built just in case!hunter":1hnjkifu said:Nice rig. Lot of space left in that rack. What are your plans, get some time based FX and go W/D/W?

Ok thanks. I got a line on a used one for $700 Cdn. but I'm not sure if it's worth it. I'd likely boost it too, but not sure what it would give me over my boosted Laney. But I do like that JCM2000 sound. It has that voice of the modern age Marshall, if ya know what I mean.Devilinside":352lta6c said:I blend both heads, and yes I'm boosting the DSL with a Suhr koko boost and it sounds incredible! Yeah I'm not familiar with the laneys, but I don't think the DSL's get a fair shake. With the right boost mine can get heavy enough for any type of music with that classic marshall soundD-Rock":1lvbiynv said:Ok thanks. I actually boost both amps and just set the amps up individually to compliment the boost. The Fortin has a shitpile of gain so I keep it at noon and I'm using very little boost it mainly adds a little something special to both but really mostly for tightening the marshall!VESmedic":3nlsje72 said:Hey man..I'm running the same rig as you (2 heads, rg16, 2 4x12s) just curious if you only boost one or both heads? If only one, what does ur signal path look like to boost one head and not the other using the rg16? Can't figure out where to put a boost pedal to boost one but not both heads...
Plus I love gain but believe it can easily be overdone and never sacrifice clarity for gain.Devilinside":20n4z1yd said:I actually boost both amps and just set the amps up individually to compliment the boost.
