RIG SETUP HELP !!!

Hello,
I have a couple of simple questions to ask!!
1-I have a randall rt503h head and rocktron vooduvalve preamp,, what is the best way to connect those guys? Guitar>Voodu> TO DIRECT INPUT OF HEAD OR Guitar>Voodu> Thru the effects loop?

2-I want to download patches to my voodu from patchbay,,but it doesnt have a usb,,only midi,,how to connect to my pc??

3-How to know the preamp tube on the voodu needs changing?

Run the voodoo into the return of the effects loop. A bad pre tube often will be noisy and thin before totally going out

If your running any of the distortions on the Voodu, I would run it out front. I never run distortions in the effects loop. The draw back is that delays typically sound better in the loop. If you're using it as an effects unit only, give 'er through the effects loop.

You need a midi editor program to be able to customize the Voodu. This should be the link to their editor: http://www.rocktron.com/patchbay/vooduvalve/chameditor.exe.zip

As for preamp tube, I doubt these units go through them fast, but if it's a second hand unit and you're new to it, it's worth tossing a new 12ax7 in there. That way you can start fresh and be a good judge of when you feel it's losing it's sound down the line.
