I play like me and sound like me on most everything I play. That flavor of the week crap just is a waste of time and money imo. I've found my tone with my Quickrod rig and am not venturing off looking for something else...I'd rather spend my time and effort writing and playing instead

Sometimes it takes a while to ind your toe. But when you do, GAS really goes away. So, maybe you haven't really found your tone yet.

That is what I was doing years ago, looking for my guitar and tone and now I have found it. I was chasing the dragon for years and now I know what I like and that is that.

+1!! The only problem is that I found my guitar tone with Les Pauls but I want more of them!!

i've spent the summer trying different combinations of gear i already have. found some nice tones there. i did the bias mod on my dsl. it still needs work. had to get some mini clips to use with my dmm so i can dig around in the bias circuit a bit more. i also reconditioned an old 12 channel peavey powered mixer i've had for years. works fine now. still have some work to do on other gear.. but i've been keeping myself busy and spending less time on the 'puter this summer.
