Pretty content with how it is to be honest with ya, B-Rad... I mean, it's a forum, it's my forum of choice, the flow is good, content is good - seriously I think what makes this place the way it is is the peeps we have as members. Awesome crew overall. I've lurked on a few other sites and there's always an obvious angle with the views, mods have too much power, product loyalty is too abundant, and too few members holding too much power.

RT is the shiznit. It's all good.

Yes but it saves a lot of bandwidth if your not opening 10 threads that you don't want to read and close right away, because you reviewed them first.

I dont like it. sometimes on other sites im trying to read something and ive accidentally cursored over something and it opens a little info box. Dont want that. Thats like for ultratasking ADHD people.

Ok....honest suggestion....lose 90% of the sub forums...they detract from traffic on the main forum.

Keep the active ones (Diezel) but lose the others.

Clean house/Un-sticky the topics in off topic that have been there for a year.

Remove the temporary HCAF subforum that is dead.

Break the classifieds section into sub-forums. Amps/Electronics, Guitars, Racks and effects, etc so it is easier to read and less of a cluster fuck.

Have a dark-themed template we can select in our user profiles.

I like this place. If I'm honest though, I'd like to see less King Guitar / Cameron / Tone Merchants stuff in the main forums. I really don't like seeing advertising, even if it is a video demo or something meant to be informative. I feel like the main forum isn't the place for that unless it's not a person associated with the companies who's posting it. Or unless, of course, that type of advertising is needed for the site to run. Just doesn't seem that way, since RT did well before, too.

Brad only did that because his site was/is still under construction, so he needed a place to keep track of inventory for users to browse and ask questions about. If you have not noticed it is gone. FWIW though Brad does own the forum and a music store. Anything music related is free game on this site - we have no say in that department. He could change it all tomorrow for all we know - its nothing we have any control over really.

thats also what i dislike most. im a fan of simpler = better...especially with forums.

go ahead, try 'n open the premier guitar website, or nhl.com on any computer pre winxp...or for that matter, even a 2 month old smart phone.

It not the inventory, it's the promoting. And this is the suggestion box, where Brad is looking for what we have to say.

It's just my opinion that I'd rather not see King Guitar / Cameron / advertising stuff on the main forum. Of course, from a business stance, I understand it may not be a good decision for Brad to remove it from here because the truth is, the main forum does seem to have the most traffic. At the same time though, I don't think of the main forum as the place for advertising from any angle, and IMO it detracts - however slightly - from the quality here.

the beauty of the forum is, accessibility. if i hit the lottery tomorrow, im going to want to find that atomica order form post...or, for that matter, any promotion by forum members that are selling stuff im interested here that's not able to be put in the Gear Classifieds. so, for now, if i dont want to read something, i dont read it.

interface wise, i think the layout is perfect. thats just me.

revise the Search function, it is absolutely terrible, and I'm sure a lot of people can attest to this

maybe also add feedback system? Sevenstring.org has a fantastic system where you can leave comments for transactions and feedback, just as in eBay, and shows your score under your avatar
