So I haven't been able to find a progress thread on here at all where we can get some good old fashioned gear porn for the struggle that is our live rigs.

This week I've finally gotten my self together enough and put this thing together and am happy with my tone. The next step is building a live in case or similar to house all of the shenanigans, and start the wiring and soldering project for custom cables. I tried to keep her fairly modular to deal with the different venues we play as I can easily go to a half stack minimalist setup.

As she sits meow....

Peavey Ultra slaved to a VTM 120 running a Marshall Mode 4 cab with V30s and Randall 2x12 / 1x15 with eminence legends.

I Run a BBE Sonic Maximiser through the loop of the Ultra as well as ISP Decimator to keep things quiet.

In the front I run a 90s TS9, a Blackarts Black Forest Fuzz, and a MXR delay for some white noise, and for feedback.

Low end forever, but I'm seriously contemplating a different cab set up....

What are you guys running for your live set ups? Post some pictures my rig is amateur hour compared to most on here.

I don't have comprehensive pics. My stuff is scattered around ready to transport for different gigs but it's a JTM45, and Triple Rec with a Hermida ported 2x12 with Vintage 30's. Looks like I'm picking up an Earcandy BB 2x12 tomorrow.
The other newer thing is the Cantrell wah, which I love. I'm trading my old 70's Crybaby away I love it so much. I like the deep vowel of the newer wahs.
I did get a Carl Martin Plexitone a few days ago which is incredible. I'm offing one of my Bogner Reds I like it so much. ;)

Played this scaled down rig the other night and couldn't have been more pleased! I don't usually play the Marshall out too often but the other night it killed!

i like your style big guy

i surely get a TON on mileage out of my vertex modded plexitone--turns my clean peacemaker into something unclean!

it comes in at the 1:20 mark

rig responsible for making the above noises (except clip had hotplate-now rivera rockcrusher, and tone press is now a xotic sp comp)

Two new amps - Marshall DSL 50 and a Splawn Quick Rod. Guitars are a Charvel Pro Mod modified with a Dtuna and a big brass block, a PRS Tremonti and a Schecter Horton. Pedals include AIC Dunlop wah, MXR EVH Phaser, MXR Carbon Copy. In the loop I have the TC Electronic Flashback, Xotic Booster and MXR Black Label chorus.

That sounds great man. It does sound a lot like the Plexitone.
Awesome tones!

I have had some nice rigs over the years. Played or owned amps from just about every modder and boutique builder, as well as all of the Majors. This amp, with this guitar plugged straight in, produces the tones I hear in my head. I forego the internal speaker and use the Uber cab when playing with the band. If I want to take it home for recording, or grab and go, I leave the Uber and use the built in.

man for the longest time my dream rig would have been a peacemaker cranked and browned out and a two rock opal for cleans and it's amazing lead tones, but every time i had the money i could never find an opal...you know how that goes...

the carol ann OD2r i had was a very sweet replacement for the Opal jones though.

this is killer. Do you run guitar into GCX, then out of each of 2 loops into each amp? One cab for each head, both always on?

Not bad for a 3 room apartment I think.

Well...I just ordered a Plexitone pedal. :D

Due to mentoneman's clip and this you tube video...the crunch setting sounds very cranked old Marshall.

I love my V! Everytime I think it want to sell it I can't seem to pull the trigger. It sounds great through that old Marshall....stock pups and all!

This whole thread puts my humble shenanigans to shame. You guys rule.
