My local retailer heard through a distributor that Sperzel Tuners has closed its doors. I couldn't find anything online but rumors, but they are a local company here in Cleveland. Their anodizing is done at a shop about two miles from my house. It was just him and his wife running a little shop across town, and it was a small operation. I guess price hikes and foreign competition may have finally put them under.

Their website is down, and I don't see an official announcement anywhere. All the AI interjections say they're just taking a break. What do you think? Are the rumors true?
 
I have not heard about that. Visited their shop twice years ago and it was cool. Not fancy, but watching craftsmen hand machining and assembling the parts while the Mrs. talked me through some of the steps was a great experience. Sad to hear.
 
Not surprised given what I've read. Sounds like it was a long time coming, but it sucks none the less.
