I noticed there never seems to be any real mention of Rivera amps here, any particular reason?

I always like the Saigon Kick cd's, the guitar tone is monsterous on "The Lizard" cd.

Just wondering.

i havent got sound on this pc, but ill try it later on the other one. From the clips on the official site though, i think its kinda crap.

I'd like to play one of these. Some of the clips sound very promising.

I put a few hours in with one. It was pretty cool. They are very well made. Lots of low end. The clean was good for a high gain amp. I did not try it with a band , but I did play at that volume.

just listened to the clip, and its MUCH better than the ones on the website. Awesome sound!

They just sold one at my local GC used for 750 asking price. I went to go get it and it was gone. But i did snag teh matching 4x12 for 300 out the door. Yeah.

The Rivera K-Tre is a secret weapon!

I don't want to even sing it's praises for fear that a million people will buy it.

Let me put it this way, I sold my diezel herbert and bought a k-tre...I am way more satisfied. I can't believe it hasn't gotten more attention.

Sounded pretty fargin good to me ...

750 for the head  I'd be all over that and 300 for the cab is a steal also

Weird .... I have heard nothing but great things about Riveras but like everyone is saying they stay well under the radar for some reason .

$700 is an insane price, I wouldn't let mine go for less than 1500 at this point since it's mint and barely used. The newer versions with reverb I think go for around 1800 if I'm not mistaken. Worth every penny.

This will also come into the tone is subjective catagory. I have listened to all of the clips and IMHO they dont sound good at all. I heard the K-tre in person and it was ice pick in the ears all the way and almost everyone who was with me was mentioning that it sounded like a gorilla amp (true story)

The only rivera amps that I liked were the ones that Saigon kick used (tbr series?) and the Fender Super Champ amp that he built for Fender. Other then that, Id have to pass.

again IMHO there is a reason why many people skip over Rivera amps.

From watching the first clip I agree with Gainfreak. It's certainly abrasive, but I just don't dig that voicing at all. I'll stick with Mesa.

I do not think the clips are that good. It sounded much better in person. The "ice pick" may have been the way it was dailed in. I have been think about getting a other "modern voice" amp. So I have been trying as many as can. This is not the one I picked - but I would have no problem doing a gig with one. At $700 I would take one right now. Apples and oranges. At $300 for the cab I would take as many as I could get and sell them to my freinds that have crap.

The TBR-1SL, M/S Series and original Knucklehead amps were bad ass. I'm not big on the newer models that they've come out with . I've owned several M100s, and they are great amps.

Tell ya what... that 2nd youtube link with the guy playing the Ibanez in Sweden (amp isn't a Tre--it's either a I or II) is the best I've ever heard a Rivera sound. I've played the K-Tre twice. I liked it more the 1st time than the 2nd. Clean channel is good and the dirty channel has INSANE gain capabilities but, just not an amp for me.

Hmm, i don't think my k-tre sounds ice picky at all. Maybe it was set wierd.
