Sounds great Carl!! Great tones there. How do you like that particular tele? Heard it has a good size neck.

Thanks! The neck is like a bat. Reminds me of the neck on the original Jeff Beck model Strats. I like having the guitar as I never had a Tele before and like the PU's and tones.

I did find a set of 9-42 feel heavier than on a Strat. Mainly the 016 G string felt like a bridge cable. I don't know how Kotzen uses 11-49 on this guitar.

I stuck 8-38 on it and now it's easy to play

Sounds like rock n roll to me. I have to
Bust mine out soon

I have .11-.52 on mine, and it plays freakin' great!

Do you bend?  Weird, because it's a 12" radius and big frets. Normally, IMO, you could get away with a slightly heavier gauge cause a neck like that is generally easy to play. I got 10-46 on my Tylers and not a problem.
I looked it up and indeed, a Tele is a bit tougher to play, maybe cause of the fixed bridge. I'm used to Strats.
