If you wait, assuming you have a decent local CL, you can buy a 3ch dual rec solo head for 700 to 800 bucks pretty easy.

A 3ch dual rec solo head is like a Honda Accord, there is a TON of them around, they are cheap, and they are extremely boring.

Roadster heads are around a grand I think on the used market.

$800 sounds more typical, I'm not so sure $700 is that easy to come by. Singles, yes, but I've never seen a working/decent condition Dual for $650.

Rectos and Accords may not be the most "exciting" amps or cars you can get, but they are ubiquitous for a reason, they are solid as fuck, do what they do extremely well, and I would take either one over most amps or cars that cost twice as much.

Pretty sure he just meant the 3ch solo heads and not recs in general

Going back to my original point, still not seeing them for $650

I said 3ch rectos are boring. I have a pre 500 blackface recto and a super early triple rec blackface modded by Kyle Rhodes. Boring?? No....

Honda Accord? Gross...

That's nice and all, but, has nothing to do with my original question of where they are found for $650

I ended up selling my roadster because I couldn't get used to the popping going from channel to channel. Even if I did the button cycle prior to using the amp, it would come back. I ended up going to the Mark side of the fence, just to try something different.

The popping is annoying, but mine goes away and doesn't come back, but then again, I don't let it sit in a channel for an extended period of time. I play my Rectoverb 25 more than my roadster though...the fan noise is the dealbreaker for me.

He never said anything about $650, either say that the numbers bullshit or move on. wtf? lol. I personally see $699 on a fairly consistent basis but no less
