I bought the Live album when I was in my teens. Listened to it a LOT. Then I heard some of studio recordings. Great stuff.

My favorite Trower studio track:

I play drums and guitar. I figured out how Bill Lordan played the kickass drum solo in this tune when I was 15. He grooved his ass off!

I did as well. I love that live record. The whole Bridge of Sighs record is killer too from top to bottom. He has some other stuff that is cool too. BLT has a few good tracks on it. I love Trower. I remember having my guitar teacher show me how to play Daydream when I was 14. Ha. He showed me the wrong way but I still play it that way.

saw Trower in a small theatre in the late 70s. was awe inspiring.

He may still be able to play, but the fire is long gone, IMO. His albums, the last few decades, suck. Very boring. His band is like a cheap pick-up band. Last great band he had was when Davey Patterson was on vocals.
I lost count how many times I saw him live, starting with him selling out MSG in 1976, which I also recorded.
Thank god for the older albums.

Anyone ever hear Whiskey Train from his Procol Harem Days?I luv that track sounds kinda Missippi Qweenish,a Westie not to be confused with a Swiftie

Unfortunately age catches up with all of us and the fire tends to go out.
