Rocking the Syn20-IR and Fortin for new AC/DC gig tonight… peep the singer!

So I have a new AC/DC tribute launching. We’re shooting some vid for promo tonight. I’ll say we have THE best Angus I’ve ever had the privilege to play with, Curt Fischer. He and I played together in Noise Pollution, and now we have a new project going on.

What’s even cooler, is our singer happens to be Andrew Freeman of Last In Line. Does he sound like Bon or Brian… honestly he’s got lots of flavor of both and I’m pleasantly surprised at how kick ass he’s sounding with this project. Andrew already has that bit of dirt to his voice for the Brian stuff and the range to hit all the Bon stuff. I’ll get vid posted for sure.

For tonight’s taping since it was a last minute booking, I’m going super wrong and using the Fortin Killer Kali and Syn20-IR. It’ll go through a 1960A and also direct to FOH. All my proper gear is in FL but happened to have my son ship me the Synergy stuff while here in Vegas for a few weeks.

Super stoked for this project to kick off. And before you ask “where’s the hat???” - he’ll be in proper gear for the shows! lol. I had to whip up the ad super quick.

Man Freeman can sing!! He might not be Bon or Brian but that dude has pipes. You are lucky to be playing with great talent, will make it that much better. So are you a Malcolm hang in the shadows and look at the babes while Angus runs in circles lying on the floor?? Even better!
 
Are those your Malcom settings on the Killer Kali? My first thought is no because the Violence switch is on. Diming the volume makes sense though.

Dude… he’s SO fucking good! He’s also about as down to earth a fucker as you could possibly be.

Hope to have the vid files back from the guy that shot for us so we can start getting the audio sync’d. This show was just to get promo and photos. We got some really great pics as well.

And yeah I’m the Mal. Our Angus is fucking insane! lol. He’s like 5’5” and 100lbs if he’s lucky. Andrew came over to me a few times during the show and was like “what the fuck??? I’m tired just watching him!”

Oh no! lol. I’ll post a pic up in a bit here. Amp is still in the car. I will say, the Kali + Malcolm Gretsch fucking killed! The DI out on the Syn20 using the 1st IR that loads sounded great.
