Did this for my band Remedy - we're doing demos, and I thought I'd get all fancy and do it with two guitars like Gary Richrath. And no, I didn't note for note him but took what I liked and goofed with the rest. Quality ain't the best since I recorded this on a Korg D3200 digital multitrack and then ran it into my PC with the monitor outs into the stock soundcard. :) You can hear the guitars though!

Thanks man! Richrath was always underrated IMHO... Awesome player. Loved learning some of his parts for this.

Sounds great Pete and agreed about being under-rated, he always had great sounding solos

That was cool! I love that tune... You definitely captured the vibe and tone nicely...

Gary is the reason I started playing. Its sounds great. is it rushed a little or is my player jacked up. How do you nail his tone so well?
I know its sort of a generic les paul marshall crybaby thing but youve got it dialed in

Thanks guys. It's a little fast for sure, but not too bad. That song kinda gets the blood pumping. :)

Used a Gibson SG and an axe-fx. Bogner XTC emulation, used a different cab for each track so one was a little brighter and the other was a bit beefier.

Awesome Pete! Loved it. My favorite REO tine. I agree, underrated player.

IMHO Richrath is one of the more underrated players. Nice cover.

Personally I've been woodshedding a couple REO tunes with "Don't Let Him Go" being surprisingly fun.

+1

As you can probably tell by my avatar, I've alway's been a Gary Richrath fan! The guy seems to get zero respect these days, especially on internet forums............

where is Gary ?

I think he just turned 60 the other day. I used to know him back in the 80's/early 90's and he went back and forth from being really fun and a blast to be around to really strange and then back to fun again on a weekly basis.

Just after he left REO we hired him to produce some songs for a band I was in and on some days Gary was really helpful--other days, not so much. He was a hero of mine and it was a bit of an eye opener.
