Ruby Bias tester for use with Diezel?

Hello

If I use a Tubetown adaptor, how will I adjust the bias?

Doesn't the bias adjustment on Einstein make an adjustment for the tube pair?

If i adjust for one tube then it is affecting the other?

Please can you clarify?

Regards

Hi Graham,

with the adaptor you can read the current for a single tube, yes.
Depending on your amp (Einstein 100s or 50s) you have to adjust either a pair (50s) or one of the two pais (100s).
But since we recommend to use only matched sets of tubes the reading of a single is sufficient to adjust the bias in either case.

For a 50s you need just one reading (one pair/one trimmer), for the 100s you need to read two tubes (b/c there's two pairs and two trimmers).

Hi Olaf.

Thanks for the quick response.

Understood. Of course matched pairs....

Would you suggest checking the values from each tube just as a matter of caution? In this instance I have Einstein combo so looking for a reading from each tube of 35mA?

Sorry, this is all very new to me and I am of course nervous...

Regards

No problem, Graham.

Of course you can check both - to verify your tube seller is reliable.
With one tube in the adaptor set trimmer to read 33-35mA, yes.
