Running an effects processor between a preamp & power amp. Is this the best way?

So yeah......right now I'm running my G-Force in between my CAE pre and Fryette 2:50:2.

I'm pretty sure you guys who have way more extensive racks can advise me on the better way to hook up the G-Force.

What would I need? A line mixer perhaps??

Actually, if I remember right, the G-Force was made so you don’t need a line mixer.

I think the better way to get to the answer is, what is it current not doing that you’d like it to? I always ran mine in the effects loop of my amps, but if I were using it in a rack situation with a power amp, I’d have it set up the same way you do now.

Dry-thru fx processors are not perfect as one hopes... and they also deteriorate in time, as parts get old. Even my two TC2290s dry thru does NOT sound as it should.
So I do not care about dry-tru and always use a line mixer as I get several other advantages out of it and tone stays better.
G-Force was never the best in audio quality delivery anyway. I'd get a line mixer for it yesterday. No doubt.

I use mine with a Masotti MXM line mixer. It's great because you can get a standard parallel mix but there's also a kill-dry function to get 100% wet processor tone. All of that is midi controllable too. With this config, the G-Force is perfect.
