Just heard from a friend, that's pretty cool for Phil. Bon Jovi will sound better for a while. :D

Who is Phil X and good for Richie to seek some help.

Phil X is a session player who has gained popularity due to his entertaining and hilarious guitar video reviews for Fretted Americana on YouTube.

Good for Phil X! Phil f*cking rocks, has a great personality, great playing, and has such a positive vibe and energy.

I'm going to get flamed for this, but for the most part, I could give two sh*ts about Bon Jovi Incorporated at this point - they seem tired, look bored, and sound like their phoning it in. I hope Phil can add some energy and excitement to the show.

I hate Sambora because he fucked Denise Richards and I didn't. :codeak: And his playing? Anyone can walk into Bon Jovi's band and handle guitar duties but doesn't Sambora handle a lot of backup vocals?

Phil's a pretty good singer actually. Shit, if I can do Sambora's backup singing parts live then I'm sure Phil can. :D

Good for Phil, but no one could make me want to listen to Bon Jovi...

I had no idea Sambora was in a state :dunno: Hope he pulls out of it.

As for Phil X, nicely done - will give him some more popularity. I wonder if he'll keep his hair straight up

There it is, my "pertinent music news" for the day.

Google Phil X from powder, his hair is just as crazy

Powder is no more because of Phil's divorce.

Wonder how wild he will be allowed to get in the Bon Jovi shows? - He could easily upstage and out-entertain Bon Jovi for sure.
Maybe the Drills will get to open. That would be worth the price of admission.

Hope the Fretted Americana videos continue. I stopped by there last week. Everybody was super nice and I had a blast just swapping tales and hanging out.

Phil X is badass. Good for him!! those are big shoes to fill. :D

My bad. Yes, you're 100% correct - apologies, this was typed up before my 1st coffee was consumed.

DAMN STRAIGHT I know Phil X, shit, he's the cat who's done some outrageously killer gear vids, he's got an awesome attitude, and just ooooozes love the guitar and music overall, correct?? Not to mention, somewhat notorious for making hilarious facial maneuvers during his playing???

I know the cat... Great shit. Good for him.

2nd coffee, coming up!!

Sambora seems to have relapsed alot over the years, he's got so much going for him, hope he's able to get it right.

There's vid out there of BJ with Phil X, and it looks like Phil is the only one having any fun. Good for him.

Uggghhhh... Bon Jovi.

But I've always dug Richie's playing and singing. "Church of Desire" from his first solo album is one of my favorites.

Wow. Impressive.

Daughtry's entire first record. Kelly Klarkson. Played all the Rhythm guitars for Orianthi. Avril lavigne's 2nd CD.

This guy gets around.

Why didn't he do ALL of Orianthi's guitars while he was at it? Nothing special with her playing at all.. not sure why people blow their load over her playing. More than likely 14 year old aspiring rock star junior high girls I guess..

Wasn´t Phil in Triumph at some point too? If he can fill Rik Emmett´s shoes he´ll do a fine Richie as well.

I´m actually surprised that Bon Jovi will be heading out without Sambora, though.

I agree. I've gotten dragged to two Bon Jovi shows, and they're okay I guess, but not worth the money. Furthermore, Jon's comments are usually borderline retarded, and I'm sick of him using his "star power" to further his political agenda.
