Decided to give the Sansamp PSA 1.1 another chance... direct recorded into my Tascam US-1200.... guitars are double tracked.

Cool tone! A bit undergained on the palm-muted riffs for my taste, but cool nonetheless. :)

In the mix it sounded good but, by itself I was wrinkling my nose. You have good recording and video skills!

Ya wasn't a fan of the tone until the drums came in.

Thank you all for you feedback. I literally have a love and hate relationship with that unit. Its excellent for recording bass guitar, but very "specific" for metal guitars. Anyhow, the video demonstrates quite well how different guitars can sound in a mix

I dig the single note stuff around the 1:35 mark or so. The PSA1 is definitely one of those polarizing units. Some things sound great. I know Hypocrisy used them for some time and i LOVE Peter's tone with them but I could never make one sound good.

What camera are you using for your vids? You always have good vid production for sure.

This... I can never get my home recordings to sound this clean, nice job!

I used to gig with one of these and a Mosvalve solid state amp. People loved my tone and always thought I had a full stack hiding somewhere. :)

Thank you all for your feedback! I appreciate that a lot! The camera I´m using for my vids is actually the weekest part, since its the most cheapest camera I could get, which was able to record in 1080p. It´s a JVC, but don´t ask me for the exact model. Would have to look it up. Actually I don´t like the video quality at all, the 1080p isn´t really "full-HD", but then I don´t care about the video quality and put priority on the sound. My goal is always to get a sound quality as professional as possible (which is subjective as well!)

Keep on rockin´
