I think a player like Phil Collen would be a nice contrast from the other shredders. Especially when one is at a concert listening to a cacophony of non-stop playing. He may not have the technical prowess of the others but....simple is good.
They should get Phil Collens on drums to make life interesting.

I'm hoping the same thing... and maybe he's been getting lessons from Satch. A lot of people forget that Satriani taught several legendary players. I wouldn't be surprised if Joe improved Phil's playing... We'll see I guess.

I can't imagine anybody spending time with Satch and not learning something.
