Yeah the new song to me sounds like the old Satch is back. I feel like he's kind of been on sort of an experimental path lately, especially with kind of a contemporary blues thing or something lately, but if this song is any indication of the whole album, then that's the Satch I've always loved listening to. Chickenfoot did some great stuff, but it wasn't Satch at his best. His last few albums have been extremely great productions and his otherworldly skills were showcased, but they didn't have that X factor like his older stuff used to have. I've got my pre-order in too man. Let's see.

Not available until January 2018! So bummed.

I agree that track posted here sounds cool. Hope it's an indication of the entire album.

I think a player like Phil Collen would be a nice contrast from the other shredders. Especially when one is at a concert listening to a cacophony of non-stop playing. He may not have the technical prowess of the others but....simple is good.

They should get Phil Collens on drums to make life interesting. ;)

I'm hoping the same thing... and maybe he's been getting lessons from Satch. A lot of people forget that Satriani taught several legendary players. I wouldn't be surprised if Joe improved Phil's playing... We'll see I guess.

I can't imagine anybody spending time with Satch and not learning something.
