Sorry no pics this time. Was too damn far away. :aww:

I had not planned on seeing this show. Was disappointed with the fact KK was not playing, so I didn't feel compelled to buy tix. To me it has always been Tipton and Downing. I wanted to remember them in the classic lineup. Fast forward to friday night. I'm three sheets to the wind when I receive a phone call from the other guitarist in me band. He says he has a an extra ticket, so what the hell it is the last tour. I'm in.

Priest delivers time and time again. New guitarist ( Richie Faulkner) was no exception. He was quite good. Looks like he was playing LP's and a Gibby Flying V. Tone was typical Priest fashion. From afar the dude looks like Doug Aldrich. Or a Randy clone.

Glen was using the usual Hamer lineup. I always liked his Hamer's, thought they looked neat.

Scott Travis is a MONSTER drummer. That dude has added a lot to this band imo. The dude is solid as hell and adds a lot of his own sound to the classics. I have seen him 3 or 4 times now with JP. The dude can play, no doubt.

Rob is a freakin machine. Not sure how old he is but to hit those high notes at his age is more than commendable. An unmistakable metal voice for the ages.

Rapid Fire
Metal Gods
Heading Out to the Highway

Starbreaker
Victim of Changes
Never Satisfied
Diamonds & Rust

Encore 2:
Living After Midnight

BLS delivered as usual. Zakk Was on point. He had a HUGE wall of Marshalls behind them running the full length of the stage. I'm sure they were props but they all had lights in the heads to appear functional. Pretty cool.

We were waiting on the guy who gave us the free tix so we missed Thin Lizzy. :gethim: That kinda bummed me out. Would have like to see them. :aww:  We did get to hear a few songs from inside the building but still missed it.

Overall I am glad I went. I was stone cold sober due to the previous night's debauchery.

Killer setlist. Good to see some more obscure songs in there....Starbreaker/Never Satisfied. They will always be my favorite band:rock:

Killer....Seen Priest many times and they always delivered...every time. One of the greats.

I saw them as well a few weeks. Priest was awesome, i was in the 2nd row reminded me of the glory days in the 80's. I couldnt stand BLS and Zakk's playing. It sounded god aweful to me and i cant figure what the purpose of his long guitar solo that made no sense to me i didnt hear anything that had musical substance. i dug Zach with in Ozzy on the fist couple tours, but whatever he plays through sounds washed up chorus/wahwah ass.

wanted to see Lizzy, but did make early enough to catch them.

Whoah, that setlist kicks! Wonder if they'll release a DVD from this tour?

You know, I agree with the solo. I was unimpressed. I do like his music though. Cool rhythm parts.

Sounds like a good show Tom. We thought about going when they were in Ohio, but too broke to go. Everytime Ive seen them they were great. Its funny at the end when they come out and Travis is like 2 feet taller than the rest of them.

Very good setlist, glad you liked the show. I have seen them at least 7 times over the years, the first being the Screaming For Vengeance show at the Fieldhouse in Erie Pa 1982. They have kicked ass everytime.

How long will this retirement last, will they be the first band to actually do it? Time will tell. Even musicians deserve to retire.

All I can think of is the no more tours tour that Ozzy did in '92. We all see how that worked out.

Priest sound killer with this current lineup!

BTW they haven't announced any kind of retirement.. They are carrying on as usual, but they won't be doing long world tours anymore. Probably shorter tours and only in the USA and UK i would guess.

I saw them at Red Rocks last time, so stayed home on this one. My brother took his teenage kid for his first show!

I'm going to see this show on the 19th!!! So it was Thin Lizzy, BLS and then JP?
