I figure, though, if I want something Marshall-y I should just get a 2203/2204 JCM 800?

I think I'll stick to the Herbster and VH4 for now...

Do it! Amazing amplifier. An excellent compliment to my VH4, basically all the tones I'm after are available are between these two amps.

I notice the Marshalls stacked away in the corner

I would love to, but already have a Herbert and a VH4! Wouldn't it be overkill?!

I see those two Marshalls are resting nicely. :)

Haha they'd earned their rest - but still get called into action occasionally :).

Spirit - The Schmidt would be a refreshingly different amp to your collection :P. I look at it as the unsung hero/underdog of the Diezel line. It makes no sense because there's no denying the sheer brilliance of the amp. A number of friends have ranked it above my VH4 in fact. In saying that, it definitely has a vibe of it's own compared to the VH4 but does actually share some nice similarities which make it extremely powerful amp to have in your arsenal. Not to mention the reverb is beyond astonishing! I'd KILL for its reverb in the VH4. :D

The Einstein has a lot of Herbert in it... or viceversa however you want to look into it.

If you have a Herbert the Schimdt would be something totally different than the Einstein and give you a broader variety of sounds
