Been tossing around about getting one for the Bridge. But seems to be a debate from what I read online on all the different kinds. Which is the best for some tight rhythm?

L500! That's the go to high gain Lawrence pickup. The Dimebag pickup. But it can do a lot more than the Dimebag sound, for sure.

Nice.....I remember it had the nice 'edge' while getting the chunk.
It was bright....but I can handle that.

It really screams. Can be a bit too bright at times, but some tweaking can solve that. Listen to Dimebag's solos...the L500 is a big component of that sound. Cuts through the rest of the band like a butter knife.

The XL is the higher gain one, that's the one that Dimebag used.

I had the 500 in a dimebag guitar. I didn't like it much. I had to use a OD pedal to get it where I wanted. But I'm a cellar dweller, so I use a ton of gain. I swapped it out for a SD Dimebucker and couldn't be happier. It's got a tad of sizzle to it, maybe too much, which is why a lot of people don't like it I think. The BL500XL seems to have a bit more clarity and definition though, but not as much gain IMO. But probably plenty of gain for 80's type stuff.

I have a USA 500XL in the bridge of my explorer and a 59 in the neck. The Bill Lawrence is crisp and tight too my ears. Cleans up well thru my ADA MP1

Yeah I love a shit load of gain as well.
The Lawrences seem to be going pretty cheap from what I see.

You're gonna find harmonics in places you never thought of looking.

My USA Washburn dimebags have either Bill Lawrence 500xls or s.d dimebags. Really great pickups in my opinion, but the dimarzio X2N is better.

If you get a 500xl and don't like it, try flipping the pickup backwards. (Ducks to avoid the interwebz hoopla)

Make sure you get a real Lawrence pickup if you buy used. I recall some issues years ago involving either fake Lawrence pickups, or maybe a company licensed the name from Bill? I don't remember exactly.

There is the bill and Becky bill Lawrence pickups and bill Lawrence USA pickups. Bill and Becky ones are supposed to be the good ones, but people who have had both say there isn't much difference.

Hey Big D!

When I bought that N2 (thanks for helping identify it :D ) It does have a Bill Lawrence in the bridge and man with the VH4 it fucking screams  !

Wilde pickups are the original family made pickups
http://wildepickups.com/
Bill Lawrence USA who owns the name now also make them
I like them both but use the wildes in a couple guitars

Killer pickups.
I have 500XLs in two guitars.

Great harmonics, not noisy or hissy, tight, kinda bright, but I like that.

I also have a set of Keystones in my Classic Vibe Tele. Very sweet set as well.

Love the Wildes I've tried so far, I have the MicroCoils for strat and they are nothing but awesome.

Quite frustrating company to buy from though, communication is terrible and close to zero info is given on wait times and so on.
I think they're around 5-6 months behind at the moment.

I bought a 500L in December I got a month back. Of course they forgot to include the hardware, and as they don't use standard pickup screws I can't use them....
Now would think they could spend a couple dollars on a stamp and send the hardware to me in an envelope but instead they said they'll put it in with the other set of pickups I have on order.
Pretty frustrating to say the least..

Now Becky is a really sweet lady so I have trouble getting angry, but man they really need some work on the customer service.
