I know there's plenty of terrible current music but for some reason the mid to late 90's mainstream pop stands out as the worst ever to me. I was in high school in a total metal phase at that point, and working as a dishwasher in a shitty little restaurant. The radio was stuck on that crap every day and it just got under my skin. I'll add Smashmouth to the list too.

Any random Dub Step song is the most annoying song ever. If you were to shove a live guitar cable 2 feet up your ass, plug it into a cranked hundred watter, and recorded the bowel induced shitting and farting noises created by the shorting cable, you wouldn't have anything even close to that garbage...
