Recently got my hands on some Scumback speakers, and they are killer! Just awesome sounding speakers. I know many are already familiar with them here, but just wanted to chime in and join the party! Thanks Jim! :D

Been using M75s for a little over a year now in a CAA 2x12...couldn't be more pleased with the results

It may not be long before I need to start loading speakers into cabs and will need to check these out. I've heard various models but this was some time back when Tone Merchants was still in Anaslime and most recently, a couple years back at the LA amp show.

Can we get a clip?

Yes, I will be making a Scumback demo. Right now I have the M75-LHDC's ... but have H75-LDHC, M75, J75 and H75 speakers coming in soon. Will run a demo of them all. Plus they will all be used to track my forthcoming solo record.

Cool. Hope you use your JP6. I was playing mine earlier. What a killer guitar!!

Did you get the cab unloaded or swap out?
Debating on changing mine out for Scumbacks or EVH's...

I have two 2x12s. One with V30s and the other with 60 watt m75s. I feel that I cover it all with the two. Absolutely love my m75s

anybody use them in the same cab? x-pattern-wise?

i have a Splawn w/v30s i'm looking to swap out.

This thread is refreshing compared to the last Scumback thread.

Putting Scumbacks with a V30 just seems wrong.

Looking forward to some clips Carl. :)

Do you have some short descriptions, for instance compared to Celestion models?

It was an unloaded cab...the speakers were purchased for it

Ran an EVM with a M75, then a J75 for a while. Beautiful.

Check the Scumback website. There's plenty of description there and has been for the last couple of years.

I went through a Scumback phase for a while. I liked the M75's, thought the J75 were pretty cool, hated the H75's. But the best cab I've played in years was a Bogner 4x12 straight loaded with V30's. Not sure how different it would sound if it had M75's in it?

There's a shit ton of difference between the 25 watt M's and the 65 watt. Most people like to order 65's for a 412 cab. I tried them and they were a little tight for me. Started ordering 25 watt M's and 30 watt H's and the difference is more than audible.

I ripped out the V30's in my Bogner 4x12 and went with the SB H75/M75 and never looked back. Huge improvement.

I remember I did have M75's in a 2x12 and I think I actually like a V30/H30 combination better. Go figure.
