I get all i need for rock/hard rock/ metal whatever including Lynchtoan with the SH-5 Duncan Custom w/a 59' neck.

Been using that combo for 15 years and havent found a better one.

I tried the SD Screamin Demon back in 98' and it was a huge disapointment.

Been leary of sig pups ever since.

I do not own any sig pickups although I tried the Sceamin Demon and it sounded like the Whimpy Demon!!!

Never got along with the Duncan Custom. I do like the Custom 5 though!!!

Yep the Demon is a low output pickup, just a modded variant of the 59ner. Tonally nice and open but lacks punch. George is a fan of low output pickups.

The Screaming Demon name gave the false sense that the pickup was hot.

Very true!!! I remember as a younger lad, picking one up when I was on vacation in Florida with my folks and was so excited to get it home. Installed it and thought....WTF?

Out it went, never to return.

the Super V. it kicks all sorts of ass, as far as a rock music goes, the Duncan Super V is awesome. if you have a chance to try one do it. I would take it over ANY other Duncan pick up. does the chugga chugga great, and tonally it is great, nice mids especially, but over all really thick and fat sounding and touch sensitivity is great also. the most under rated unknown pick up out there!!!

Sounds almost exactly like a JB with a 250k volume pot to me. Hot and saturated with the highs rolled back a little.
