So I was flipping through the t.v. channels and stopped on VH1 classic playing Sebastian Bach's new video. It's good to hear some new heavy riffs on t.v. Maybe it was just a sound for sore ears. Is the rest of the album this good? I really liked Nick Sterlings guitar tone and phrasing. The only thing I could find odd on first listen is Sebastian seems to be singing the whole song in his highest register. Sounds kind of weird. The band sounds great though. What do you'all think?

Great stuff!! Nick really shreds in this video around the 2:00 mark

Don't know if this is on the new album but this is a pretty cool tune.

Not bad, i'd prefer to see him return to a more rock vibe and less of a new age heavy chugga sorta thing but i guess he is evolving. One thing i can't help but notice is that his guitar player looks like he is 17. I noticed that when i saw them open for G n R last year..

My god that is pitchy. Was he always that off live?

Who wrote the music in Skid Row? I thought Slave to the Grind was some pretty good song writing. Not as much of a fan of this. But good to see he's still rockin

I didn't watch this yet, but I have a few Skid Row boots and he was definitely pitchy....rockin' but pitchy.

Btw, I listened to the first video posted and I liked it. Nick Sterling sounds great as does the band. I like Bas quite a bit. He was great on Celebrity Fit Club

I was actually suprised that this sounded so good. Most of his efforts since Skid Row have had sort of a lackluster vibe to them, in my opinion. But this sounds really good, and I think the fresh, young blooded guitar player might have influenced him to rock out again, and use his vocal range.

I think if this gets decent exposure (videos, airplay on satellite radio, etc), this could actually put Bach back on the radar. Hope so atleast..

I like the new tune, i'm surprised he's singing so high though, i've seen him struggle live to hit the high notes before

exactly what I was thinking. hope he's not setting himself up...

I traded amps with Nick when he was around 14. Great to see him doing well. Fantastic player and a very cool guy. I thought the song was cool. Bach was the worst thing about it. But not terrible. I like it.

Nick really sounds good here. I wish him all the best.

 Man I'm really proud of Nick... maybe 2 years ago his pop called me to pick my brain about Nick possibly playing with Sebastian, pitfalls of the biz etc. and I hadn't really followed what has happened with the situation since- but it's just great he's now worked himself into a position where he gets to write, and obviously gets mad respect from Sebastian for his skills. Good job Nick, and I think the music/playing sounds really good, it's classic yet pretty fresh sounding, a hard thing to accomplish for guys that are known from the 80's!

I gotta go get this cd and it's been awhile scince I've said those words

That is awesome. Nick has always been such a great kid and I think he easily pulled off the transition from the kid novelty into a legit guitar player and musician.

Scott Hill did the solo's on slave to the grind that people recognize as hits, Dave Sabo and Scott co-wrote the songs on Slave to the Grind, but most of the killer playing you hear on that album is all Scott. Kinda sad to be honest, IMHO Dave gets more credit than is deserved - i was shocked when i heard all these years Scott was the real axe slinger.

I dont like it to be honest. I have no idea what it is with washed out singers, but no matter how good the guitarist or drummer, if the singer sucks it just kills the song. Bach's voice sounds like a 65 year old smoker, his live voice is way off pitch, and he cant sing in octaves. Good recognition for Nick and the drummer but still dont like the material.

Baz sounds a little off, but it's good to have him back! Reminds me a little of Home Sweet Home. Kicking and Screaming is a WAY better tune, IMHO.

(the good news)Dude looks healthy, and he seems to still have his range, but I don't like it.

Music is very boring and '97-'07-esque. Lose the detuned shit, and do something melodic and angry.

Youth Gone Wild, for example.

Maybe he has found his niche elsewhere and still earning money singing
