Oh btw, I will probably buy one of the mxr disto concorde models as well just to have it..
problem with that is does any one know what EQ settings were ?I wouldn't be interested in a RR themed pedal. I'm not interested in either of the recent MXR versions. I would on the other hand be interested in a clone of a late 70s Distortion + with a built in EQ component fixed at the settings Randy used. If that were even possible.
I think the " rough" settings have been documented and there are some pics of him in studio during blizzard and I remember more or lessbbeing able to make out the eq. Essentially the frown, tightening up that loose bass on the distortion + but keeping the bloom sound that circuit makesproblem with that is does any one know what EQ settings were ?
Yes sir. Your post is where I saw it. And I think it's a great idea. That's essentially what I had asked for before and hoped these would be. It doesn't need to have his paint scheme or graphics, just a " tight" mod to simulate his eq after the OD. Make it a rusty yellow color sticking to the original and just put a RR switch (tight)on it for the sound. Then if you are ambitious, make it a double pedal w/ chorus so we can throw that on it and boom!!! The ultimate tribute pedal is born. Call the pedal " Tribute".
Theres a video of Randy's siblings going over his gear and they show all of his pedal settings.problem with that is does any one know what EQ settings were ?
