Hope things go good for you with the move. :)

thank you Stephen, a lot of stuff on my plate at the moment, but we're handling bit by bit. I'm excited about it all. I'll be in a great city, very centric country for gigging out (Berlin, Prague, Warsaw, etc etc etc...)

That sounds great .... I also am going to need a lower volume tool myself ~ So I am following this thread. I have been spoiled for a very long time with using as many dB's as I want.

good luck with the move joey. both exhilarating and stressful. i've been messing around a bit with the mustang modeler. the v head through a 1960 cab with 75's. it does a decent 65 dr once i turn the cab sim off and tweak it a bit. the drawback with these is that in order to use the usb to record you've got to use the ableton software that comes with it. i'm not a fan of that software. i'm trying to find a work around solution to that problem.. like patching the loop into the board because everything in the loop is post.. or miking the cab.. but haven't had a chance to try that yet.. though cab miking would work. also the I's and II's sound like a shoebox. the III's and up CAN be decent with some patience.
don't know that i was all that helpful.. but wanted to wish you good luck anyway. :)
i wound up getting 'twang because i needed a backup amp for gigging with a pedalboard and it had a basic twin model in it that i figured would do in a pinch.
or there's the champ x2.

just an update. the mustang has a headphone jack that doubles as a cab sim out and also mutes the speaker when plugged in. i picked up the proper cables and ran it into my board etc. and recorded it on to audacity. it worked just fine.. so you don't have to use it with ableton if you want to use it for recording. i was curious about that myself. :)

Yupo, thats the one, a poor man's AxeFX. USB, 4CM, cab sims, some nice amp models - what else could one need.
Some guys prefer the RP1000 or so, the floor version though. Look thru RT there are some threads about the GSP.

Sometimes I wish I bought a GSP1101 instead of a whole bunch of pedals etc.....
