I hear ya, but what I'm mostly referring to is the crews the companies hire here are comprised of all illegals.

For example: I had my roof replaced, the guy I was initially working with was an american, spoke English all was good, then when they sent the crew out to do the work, it was all illegals, not a single one spoke English, and I never saw the american guy again.

Another example: I had a root burst a water pipe to my pool house. I had a plumber come out, again american guy. He said he was going to do the work himself. I agreed, yet when It came time he send a crew of illegals to do the work.

Another Example: Had a cast iron drain pipe deteriorate in my slab to the laundry room. Different plumber, but american guy again, when it's work time, illegal crew. BTW you better believe these MF's can't dig tunnels, they had a tunnel dug (in the hard texas soil) under my house from the back, to the side in less than a day

Moral of what I'm saying, these company owners talk out both sides of their mouths. They vote Rep (probably mostly for tax, and regulation reasons which I understand ) But they're right there bitching about illegals, while being the problem by giving them jobs.

Yeah man, I am well aware of that going on. It happens here too, especially roofing. Next time a plumber does that to you, remember this: Plumbing is a licensed trade. You have to have a Master plumber certification to operate a business legally. Any person that company employs for the purpose of plumbing, that person must have a Journeyman certification. If that Journeyman brings a helper, the helper must have an apprentice certification. An apprentice can’t perform any work, not even cutting a piece of pipe, without a Journeyman supervising, and a Journeyman can’t perform any work unless they are in the employ of a master. The only exception to those certifications are home owners choosing to perform their own work, on their own homes. If this happens to you again, let the wetbacks finish the work, and when it is time to settle up, tell the owner that you need copies of everyone’s certifications. When he doesn’t produce, refuse payment. He wont be in a position to do anything, and it is illegal to remove anything they have attached to your system. While he is storming off, let him know that you will be contacting the licensing board, and that illegal alien labor isn’t as cheap as he thought. Take all of the money you saved, and hire a legal plumber to inspect the work that the wetbacks performed, because while they are excellent hole diggers, they don’t know Jack shit about plumbing. Also, in most every state it is a legal requirement that home owners hire certified plumbers, which it sound like you did, but they pulled the switcharoo on you. Hit these assholes where it hurts, and they will learn. Call their asses out on social media, and anywhere that people will listen.

I-9 E verify is a federal requirement. States can't "opt out". It's mandatory for EVERY business in the US.
