Has anyone done this or know anyone who has? I really want a guitar with there system but have yet to see it on anything I want. The only thing that scares me is that its basically irreversible. I really want it on my new $1700 7 string but god damn I would be pissed if I didn't like it, lol. What are your thought?

Maybe try it out on a guitar that already has one even if you don't like the guitar?
And keep in mind, it costs at least 500 to install and Im not sure if that includes the hardware, so you're looking at dumping a third of the price of guitar on top of the 1700...
I definitely wouldn't do it the way you are going about it.

There are several LTD models with Evertunes you could try to get an idea for it. They go fairly inexpensive on the used market.
I’ve got a Gibson Explorer being fitted with an Evertune as we speak (being done by an installer in Canada). I started out with a couple of guitars with pre-installed Evertunes before I went this route. I’m a little nervous but the Explorer didn’t cost me that much. Would be a harder decision on a Les Paul.

i love my evertune. best piece of new gear in a long time. works exactly as described.

if you are nervous try a esp ltd with one. the resale value on them is good once you determine if you like it.
