Serious question about prescription lenses

While I love a nice, vintage muscle car with a big fat Holley on top, I agree. Fuck points man. Change the distributor and be done with it.
I always find beauty in simplicity. Always liked a kick only points bike. You just damn well better be sure you have them set right or enjoy the lifetime limp when it bites you because it's coming. Electronic ignition is nice but you aren't gonna get it back home if the brain dies. Never got real good setting points though so like you I went with an electronic ignition. They are pretty damn reliable at the end of the day and for what you get the prices are generally pretty fair for a basic unit.

Is there some reason when a person who wears prescription lenses decides to chew someone's ass that they feel compelled to remove their glasses to make eye contact? I don't wear glasses and was even turned down for a job mopping up at my local lens crafters once but is there something that prevents a person from directing a hot tempered glare at someone when you are wearing them? What's up with that? Anyone? Is it just for theatrics or do prescription lenses dial back the intensity of the wearer or something? I have noticed this over and over again.
Are you asking because you don't believe in corrective lenses or are you asking because it is a weird thing to do?

It may seem weird, but I'm assuming lots of people wear glasses so they can read. But to look someone in the eye from across the room, you'll need to take those readers/corrective lenses off so you can see the person better. Right? Plus, if you have a left hook coming your way, the corrective lenses may blur the actual angle and approximate speed

That and the broken glass all up in your face like JBT was suggesting.

I remember spending like $3 to change points on my 68 Camaro. Like $5 for a set of different tension springs. Ahhh... I miss those days.

FWIW, my Camaro ran 12.7 in the 1/4 on street tires 1.8 second 60 foot times. I have a shit load of track receipts somewhere around my house. lol

Had full blown HEI.
Msd 6A, pertronix 1 module, msd blaster 2 coil

Ran that for over 20 years

Car didn't run any better than with points.

Less shit to worry about or burn up.

I'll take my chances roadside with points

I'll always limp home if need be
